Code Explosion

Postmodern and Pierce are pimping up teh intertr0ns!
Pierce recently presented on his tool Seeds-of-Contempt at Viz-SEC, with awesome response from the masses. Seeds-of-Contempt provides a visual means of monitoring and attacking network traffic, as well as remote "resource management" functionality ;].
Postmodern Modulus III has publicly released the first version of Ronin, and now with docs! Having personally seen him present on the same documentation and demonstrate Ronin's capacity, I have to say the power Ronin puts at your fingertips for on-the-fly hacking is phenomenal.
ps. with these guys makin me look so bad, i'll have to finally finish someting cool to post here.
Hacker Hip Hop
published on Tuesday Jun 8 13:24:02 uNF 2008 by drraid
While we're finishing up some research content here at SophSec, I've decided to kick it up a notch by publishing a Hacker HipHop track. Big props to my good friend and producer Conkrete - he's seriously a top-grade musical composer and engineer, and I was lucky enough to have his beat and engineering for this track. The song is called clockwork and the lyrics for the track are available here.
The music is distinguished hacker rap, not to be confused with nerdcore, and makes harsh statements addressed towards whitefat industry and skript kiddie culture. It has been nominated for best song at this years BlackHat Pwnie Awards (WOOT) and if I'm lucky, wins ;].
Shards of Code
published on Sun May 4 18:23:19 PDT 2008 by postmodern
Been a while since we last updated sophsec.com. You see we've been busy chasing the great hackerican dream. You know the one, 3.5 core computers, a beautiful window manager theme and stealing your neighbors white-picket fence (because that shit is way suburbia).
Well we're back like a rash with some new content which we will be adding to over the next few months. I give you the first on our list, Shards of Code. Shards is SophSec's version of DZone snippets, except we decided not to name our collection after the slang for getting a vasectomy. We also promise to document the code we post, illustrating common usage, limitations and other dependencies.
Check it out.
SophSec and Rehab
published on Wed Jan 24 14:18:22 PST 2008 by drraid
It's not that we haven't been doing research, it is just that we have had drama inside the crew recently with very serious addiction problems. Four of the groups members are currently undergoing rehab after being introduced to a new purified form of crack called Bloxorz. More information can be found at Bloxorz main page
RSS Feeds and permalinks
published on Wed Jan 9 14:18:22 PST 2008 by postmodern
Oh, what's that orange-square thing up in your address-bar, I belive it's per-page RSS Feeds. That's right, now you can keep up-to-date on all the SophSec goings-ons, via your RSS enabled iPhone, Refrigerator or Smart-Shoe ™ .
We also added linkable permalinks to sections, sub-sections, downloads and news items (required for direct RSS links).
Building this site has been tons of fun.
More sections..
published on Today, Mon Jan 3 13:04:24 PST 2008 by drraid
Most sections have been filled with atleast some content. The random section currently contains the most stuff, and the research section contains nothing (because we're lazy). Expect topics such as exploitation research, as well as analysis data in the research section shortly.
Rapid website development!

The site is gaining content rapidly and will continue to do so until the bunny is done throwing up. Massive props to postmodern for putting together a solid web infrastructure for managing our content and posts.
New website design and upcoming projects
published on Thu Jan 6 22:32:40 PST 2008 by postmodern
We finally got a decent website design created for base, for your enjoyment.
Be sure to look around, you might find some interesting information on the Research page. You can also learn about many of our side projects on the Project page. Finally, there's a healthy serving of random links that we recommend you checkout over on the Random page.
